Pony Club

In the spring of 2017, Alborak Stable became the first Canadian Pony Club Riding Center in the Alberta South Region.

Pony Club (PC) is an internationally recognized organization that is dedicated to teaching youth (aged 6-21 years) skills to become safe, knowledgeable and competent equestrians. Generally, to join a Pony Club students need to own or lease a horse. As a Riding Center, all of our lesson program students have the opportunity to join Pony Club without owning or leasing a horse.

Alborak PC Riding Center program follows the Canadian Pony Club (CPC) curriculum providing mounted and unmounted instruction.

Theory and Stable Management are the unmounted lessons held twice a month. These consist of hands on learning of how to properly and safely care for the health and well-being of horses. This includes feeding, grooming, cleaning tack, veterinary care, farrier, cleaning a stall and show preparations. Self driven workbook exercises and textbook readings are also a part of these lessons.

The riding portion of PC is through the Alborak Riding School lesson programs with optional summer camps.
